Beds and headboards
Mattress seams and box springs
Furniture hiding areas
Baseboards and cracksInspection and targeted application
We inspect sleeping areas and nearby furniture for bed bug activity and hiding places. Targeted insecticide treatment addresses bed frames, headboards, mattress and box-spring areas, baseboards, cracks and appropriate areas of nearby furniture, sofas and recliners, according to each product label. We do not offer steam or whole-room heat treatment.
Prepare rooms before the visit
Reduce clutter, empty specified drawers or furniture, and clear approximately six to twelve inches along baseboards. Remove belongings from beds, couches, chairs and other furniture to be serviced. Do not move potentially infested items into other rooms. We provide laundry and preparation instructions appropriate for the belongings being handled; heat settings must suit the fabric.
Return only after treatment has dried
People and pets must leave during service and remain out for at least two hours after application is completed, and longer if any treated surfaces remain wet. Do not use treated items until completely dry. Remake beds with clean linens before use. Follow the specific instructions supplied for your appointment.
Second treatment at two weeks
A second treatment is scheduled approximately two weeks later, repeating the treatment process to address continuing activity and newly hatched bed bugs. Visit length depends on property size and infestation. The full service plan is explained before work begins.
Questions about bed bug control
Do you offer bed bug treatment for apartments and hotels?
Yes. Pest Pro treats homes, apartments, hotels and other multi-unit properties. Share the affected rooms, property type and access contact so the treatment plan and preparation can be coordinated.
Is bed bug treatment a heat treatment?
No. Pest Pro uses targeted insecticide treatment rather than whole-room heat or steam. Treatment addresses appropriate bed, furniture and room hiding areas according to the products being used.
Can I stay home during bed bug treatment?
People and pets must leave during the service. Remain out for at least two hours after application is completed and longer if treated surfaces are not completely dry. Follow any additional instructions provided for the appointment and put clean linens on the dry mattress before use.
Why is there a second visit?
The service plan includes repeating treatment approximately two weeks later to address continued activity and newly hatched bed bugs. The repeat visit does not replace customer preparation; follow the instructions for both appointments.
